Toolmaker Hours, Pay and Benefits

  • Salary £40,000 (including shift allowance)
  • Working hours: two options available — 10:00am – 6:00pm or 2:00pm -10:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • Sick pay based on length of service, up to 24 weeks

The Toolmaker will repair and service moulding machine tools and related equipment efficiently and in a timely manner.

Commutable from: Leicester, Corby, Peterborough, and Grantham.

Candidate Requirements

  • Time served toolmaker – qualifications must be from the UK for insurance purposes
  • Proven experience in Injection Moulding / Plastics
  • Electrical experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience operating toolmaking equipment such as grinders, lathes, and machining tools
  • CNC Machining centre experience is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Build, repair, and maintain tooling
  • Work accurately to fine tolerances
  • Prove tooling and troubleshoot to ensure tools run correctly in production — "right first-time" approach
  • Flexible in breakdown scenarios
  • Maintain machinery on site
  • Perform general toolmaking tasks
