Overview

An established engineering company based in Birmingham requires an experienced toolmaker / general machinist.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, conventional milling and lathe work.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Check specification and accuracy of produced components using standard engineering measuring equipment.

Requirements

• Background in engineering with toolmaking and general machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• CNC machine setting and operating an advantage.
• Proficient in the use of engineering measuring equipment.

Hours

8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1pm Friday. This is a permanent position that starts immediately.
