Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Pertemps Wolverhampton are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering client in Wolverhampton for an experienced TIG Welder to join their production team on a temp to perm basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder to secure a long-term position within a professional and quality-driven manufacturing environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality TIG welding on components and assemblies, ensuring all work meets engineering specifications, quality standards and health & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications
  • Ensure welds meet required quality and appearance standards
  • Carry out visual inspections and basic quality checks
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
  • Adhere to all health & safety procedures
  • Ensure work is completed within production deadlines
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good knowledge of welding techniques and processes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Desirable
  • Experience welding to coded or precision standards
  • Previous work within aerospace or precision engineering sectors
