Are you a creative, emotionally intelligent graduate with aspirations to become a therapist in art therapy, drama therapy, play therapy, or counselling? A forward-thinking, inclusive primary school in Bromley is seeking a Therapeutic Learning Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and social-emotional challenges through imaginative, therapeutic approaches. Starting September 2025, this full-time, term-time role offers a fantastic launchpad into therapeutic and mental health careers.
You'll work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to deliver nurturing, creative interventions that make a lasting impact on children's confidence, communication, and emotional wellbeing.
Salary: 105-110 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
Full-time, term-time role from September 2025 to July 2026.
Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils with Autism, SLCN, and emotional regulation needs.
Use drama, music, art, or play to support therapeutic and learning goals.
Contribute to a compassionate, inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate closely with staff and therapists on targeted support plans.
Salary: 105-110 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
Degree in Art, Drama, Music, Psychology, Education, or related discipline.
Passionate about child development and creative therapeutic approaches.
Emotionally attuned, patient, and highly engaging.
Experience working with children or vulnerable groups is desirable.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A future therapist, counsellor, SEN teacher, or wellbeing professional in the making.
