Qualifications

  • Participate in audits and complete cleaning schedules.

Join Medacs Healthcare and help our client to deliver safe, compassionate care in operating theatre environments across Glasgow. We're recruiting a Theatre Healthcare Assistant to assist surgical teams in maintaining clean, safe, and efficient operating areas.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll work as an essential member of the theatre team, supporting qualified practitioners and contributing to high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting set up of operating theatre prior to surgery
  • Circulating during surgery to collect any necessary equipment required
  • Transporting patients from ward to operating theatre
  • Adhering to sterile procedures
  • Assisting with patient positioning and equipment movement
  • Maintaining cleanliness and infection control standards
  • Participating in audits and completing cleaning schedules

This role requires physical stamina, manual handling, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances during patient recovery.

What You'll Need
Essential
  • Minimum of 6 months UK based Operating Theatre experience
  • Right to work in the UK (No visa sponsorship is available for this role)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable
