About The Role:

Days of Working: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary link between the engineering team and the Operations Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day delivery of the contract
  • Provide hands-on technical support to engineers, assisting with troubleshooting and resolution of complex mechanical and electrical issues
  • Lead team briefings, toolbox talks, and van inspections, consistently promoting and maintaining a strong health and safety culture
  • Monitor and manage operational systems including engineer trackers, tool calibration records, and uniform inventory
  • Conduct regular site visits to engage with engineers, assess standards of work, and offer coaching and support
  • Work collaboratively with other teams including the Helpdesk, Facilities Managers (FMs), and technical specialists to ensure smooth and effective service delivery
  • Audit engineer paperwork, logbooks, and service records to ensure contractual and compliance standards are being met
  • Carry out regular audits of PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) completion and documentation
  • Ensure all health and safety incidents, near misses, or hazards are reported promptly and accurately using the EcoOnline platform
  • Use own initiative and problem-solving skills to address site challenges or unexpected maintenance issues
  • Support event preparation and delivery across The Royal Parks estate, including highprofile and state occasions
  • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota (currently 1 week in every 4 weeks; subject to operational changes)
  • Assist in identifying training needs or skills gaps within the team and support development of team capabilities
  • Ensure reactive and planned works are completed to a high standard, within SLA timescales, and in full compliance with procedures
  • Encourage a team-first approach, supporting collaboration and high standards across all functions

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
  • Recognised Electrical or Mechanical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in facilities management or a building services environment
  • Experience leading or supervising a multi-skilled engineering team
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation, including compliance auditing and reporting
  • Proficient in using digital systems for work tracking, reporting, compliance, and communication
  • Capable of balancing management responsibilities with active technical involvement

Work Environment:
  • Field-based supervisory role across The Royal Parks estate in London
  • Preferable M&E back ground
  • Good level of Electrical knowledge is required
  • Combines office-based coordination and reporting with regular on-site presence
  • High-profile, public-facing locations requiring professional conduct, discretion, and a proactive mindset
  • Collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure service excellence and client satisfaction
