Overview

Freelance Technical Services Manager - Fit Out (Cat A & B). Location: Coventry. Rate: £350 - £400 per day (freelance). Contract: 6 months. Client: Public Sector.

Joshua Robert Recruitment are working with a leading main contractor on a prestigious £10m Cat A & B fit-out project in Coventry. We are seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager (TSM) to take responsibility for all building services delivery across this scheme.

Role

Working on behalf of the main contractor, you will lead all aspects of M&E services, coordinating multiple specialist subcontractors and ensuring seamless integration of systems including mechanical, electrical, heating, BMS, data, and audio.

• Overseeing delivery of all technical services on-site for the main contractor.
• Managing and coordinating multiple subcontractors, ensuring quality, programme, and compliance.
• Reviewing design information, identifying clashes, and resolving interface issues.
• Leading testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E and specialist services.
• Acting as the main point of contact for the client and design teams on technical matters.

About You

Strong background as a Technical Services Manager or M&E Manager with a main contractor. Demonstrable experience managing large fit-out schemes (£5m+). Skilled in handling multiple specialist subcontractors simultaneously.

• Technical knowledge across M&E, BMS, heating, and AV/data installations.
• Previous exposure to public sector projects advantageous.
