A leading infrastructure organization is seeking a Technical Lead to oversee the delivery of interventions in the National Concrete Roads Programme. National Highways is offering an excellent opportunity for a Technical Lead to join our East region Operations team. This role focuses on delivering a long-term pipeline of interventions to maintain and eventually reconstruct concrete road assets. Responsibilities include managing asset intelligence, prioritising interventions within budget, and overseeing pavement design, costing, and planning activities.
The Technical Lead will also act as a national governance function, optimising delivery across regions. The role is part of the £393m National Concrete Roads Programme, covering life extension, reconstruction, and the continuation of the programme into Roads Period 3.
This role can be based at any of our main offices, but regular travel to the Bedford office for team meetings will be required. Occasional travel to various scheme locations within the concrete road network may also be needed

External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
