Role Overview:

We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in secondary schools across Worthing. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals committed to inclusive education and supporting students in reaching their full potential.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with EHCPs
  2. Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning strategies
  3. Assist in planning and delivering tailored learning activities
  4. Promote student independence, confidence, and engagement
  5. Support social, emotional, and behavioural needs, where appropriate
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
  1. Experience working with children or young people with SEN, especially in secondary schools
  2. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  3. Strong communication and teamwork skills
  4. A flexible and proactive approach to supporting diverse learning needs
  5. Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
