Overview

Teacher - Llangewydd Junior School (Temporary Maternity Cover). 32.5 hours per week. Temporary up to 12 months or until the post holder returns; whichever is earlier with an expected start date of February 2026.

Llangewydd Junior School is situated in Bridgend and part of the Bryntirion Cluster of schools. There are 352 pupils on roll aged between three and eleven years. The school has 12 mainstream classes and 2 ALN classes.

Responsibilities
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a sound understanding of the Curriculum for Wales.
  • Be able to provide high quality learning experiences.
  • Work effectively as part of a successful team.
  • Be able to differentiate learning experiences to cater for the needs of all learners, providing support and challenge.
  • Be organised and have excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Liaise and work with parents, governors and the wider community.
