Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new and developing Education Service at a pivotal time in KEYFORT's growth. We are actively working with South Tyneside Council to support students who fall outside of traditional teaching environments and who benefit most from our bespoke tailored education provision. We are seeking to recruit an immediate full-time Teacher to provide consistent support, while also building a team of flexible/zero-hour Teachers who can work with us on an ad-hoc basis. These flexible roles are designed to grow into full-time permanent positions as our service expands. If you are a Teacher looking for a fresh challenge-or a supply Teacher wanting a more rewarding role with real impact-this could be a fantastic opportunity to help shape a service from the ground up.

Responsibilities
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and young people you support.
  • Deliver engaging, good to outstanding lessons in line with Ofsted and National Curriculum guidelines.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual needs, using creative approaches.
  • Provide relevant resources and evidence learning progress, logging outcomes against student targets.
  • Manage and update educational documentation (ILPs, EHCPs, care plans, transition plans).
  • Liaise with families and colleagues, contributing to review meetings and collaborative planning.
  • Undertake ongoing training and development.
Qualifications
  • A teaching qualification (essential).
  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with special educational needs (essential).
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond to changing needs.
  • Empathetic, patient, and committed to making a difference.
Role details
  • Full-time permanent (Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:00). This role is salaried, between £34,823.00 to £37,101.00 per annum - experience dependant.
  • Zero Hour / Flexible contracts also available, with the potential to move into full-time permanent roles as our Education Service grows. This role attracts an hourly rate of pay at £28.
