The Role

Overview of the Department

The Inclusive Design team is a group within Packaging Development & Design, one of the sub-groups within Drug Product Development (DPD), R&D, based in Ware, UK. At GSK, one of our cultural pillars is to be ambitious for patients, and for the Inclusive Design team, the patient is at the heart of everything we do. Inclusive Design ensures that products and services are accessible and usable by as many people as possible, regardless of their abilities.

To meet our objective of ensuring that our patients, and the people who care for them, can successfully engage with and use our medicines, the Inclusive Design team is responsible for conducting patient engagement research and combining it with disease understanding to enrich a synthesis of the patient persona types, patient experience journey, and their capabilities. These findings can be leveraged by teams in medicine development to contribute to overall product design.

The Inclusive Design team also leads sustainability objectives to develop innovative new packaging and devices that help meet GSK\'s ambition to reduce our impact on the environment and lead to positive nature change and reduce climate impact.
