A healthcare support organization in Shrewsbury is seeking compassionate Support Workers to assist individuals with autism and learning disabilities. You will empower independence through personal care support, engage in community activities, and help foster effective communication. The role requires confidence in building relationships and the ability to support daily living tasks. The positions offer a structured shift pattern with 22 hours per week with opportunities for paid sleep-ins and varying shift times.
We are looking for compassionate, confident and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team in Shrewsbury. You will be supporting two energetic young men with autism and learning disabilities to live active, meaningful and fulfilling lives.
You will be working with two fantastic young men in their 20s who share a bungalow but lead independent, busy lives. Each has their own unique personality, routines and interests.
Both individuals value staff who understand boundaries, communicate well, and can recognise when it's time for activity – and when it's time to unwind.

Supporting personal care, meal preparation and daily living tasks in a dignified, respectful and encouraging way.
Regular outings including cinema trips, walks, days out and community groups. You'll support them to enjoy their hobbies and stay active.
Light household tasks, medication administration and ensuring their home is safe, comfortable and welcoming.
Providing focused support tailored to each person's preferences, needs and daily plans.
You will work 22 contracted hours per week, including:
Shifts include alternate weekends and 1–2 sleep‑ins per week. Start/finish times may vary depending on planned activities. Rotas are issued in advance to support good work‑life balance.
