Overview

Role: Supply Teacher
Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
Contract: Flexible temporary roles (day-to-day, short-term and long-term)
Start date: September 2025
Salary: £32,916-£45,351 per annum (depending on experience and/or qualifications). Plus up to £375 Welcome Bonus - our way of saying thank you for choosing Heart of Supply! (T&Cs apply)

Responsibilities

• Support partner schools across Gainsborough and surrounding areas in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 classrooms with day-to-day, short-term and longer-term cover.


• Deliver engaging lessons, follow pre-set plans, and help maintain a positive and consistent learning environment in the absence of the regular class teacher.


• Build rapport with pupils and staff, manage behaviour positively, and bring energy and calm to each day.


• Be proactive, reliable, and able to slot into new settings with ease, whether teaching phonics in Reception or guiding a Year 6 class through revision.

What you will need

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and recent experience in a UK primary setting


• A nurturing, flexible teaching approach with the ability to connect quickly with pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2


• Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management rooted in positive reinforcement


• The ability to follow pre-set work while bringing your own creativity and energy to the classroom


• Clear communication, a proactive attitude, and the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff alike


• A minimum of 6 weeks' teaching experience in the UK
