About the Role:

As a Supply SEN Teacher, you will help maintain continuity in the classroom and create a positive, engaging learning environment. Your role will involve teaching across various age groups and adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs of students. You will be a crucial part of fostering a love of learning and ensuring each student’s progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver dynamic, inclusive lessons to mixed‑age groups, ensuring that students with diverse learning needs make progress.
• Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet the individual needs of each student, fostering an engaging and supportive classroom environment.
• Maintain strong classroom management to ensure students are focused and motivated.
• Work in partnership with colleagues to provide tailored support for students' academic and personal development.
• Provide constructive and meaningful feedback to students on their work and progress.
• Contribute to the wider school community and collaborate on school‑wide initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Proven ability to teach across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work flexibly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to creating positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements for GSL Education:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up‑to‑date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
• Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
