A leading defence and security company in Scotland is seeking a Supply Chain Sector Lead to manage material supply issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams. This role involves attending project meetings, managing Supplier Action Plans, and leading a team of Material Leads. Ideal candidates will have strong relationship management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Supply Chain Sector Lead will report to the VP Procurement RATS for operational activity, with process and governance being managed by the Head of Supply Chain (Edinburgh). Main duties will be to ensure that any non commercial issues relating to production part material supply are managed in accordance with MRP need date, minimising the impact to sales output. To achieve this, you will coordinate and manage multi-function involvement best suited to solving the problem(s) at hand, ensuring responsibility and accountability is understood and ensuring all output related actions are clear in terms of action and ownership and are time bound. Other key responsibilities will be attending key Project meetings relating to your designated Sector and ensuring the associated KPI metrics of the role are managed and reported effectively. Although Custom Working will relate to this role, it is envisaged the role will require a minimum of 2-3 days onsite attendance.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
