Overview

Supplier Queries Adviser
£24,570 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6C)
Manchester city centre. This role is hybrid – you’ll split time between home and around 2 days a week in the office, ideally Wednesday and Thursday. For details on our hybrid working policy, see the Co-op policy.

We’re looking for a Supplier Queries Adviser to join our Supplier Disputes & Queries team within the Source to Pay team in our Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS comprises diverse teams delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective business services across the Co-op. You’ll play a key role in helping CBS support and realise our group vision of ‘co-operating to build more value for member-owners everyday’.

As a Supplier Queries Adviser, you’ll help ensure queries and disputes from suppliers are resolved and payments are made accurately and on time. You’ll resolve queries and disputes, build relationships with internal and external partners, and ensure remedial actions are completed accurately. It’s a great opportunity to develop your skills as part of a busy team.

What you’ll do
  • Work as part of a team of 5 advisers to manage all queries and disputes for invoices on food goods going into our Co-op depots and stores
  • Complete reconciliation of invoice statements
  • Resolve price and quantity claim disputes
  • Provide copy remittance and Open Items Statements
  • Liaise with suppliers, depots, buying teams, and other internal departments across the company to resolve issues
  • Respond to queries via email and through the supplier query portal, investigating and resolving issues
This role would suit people who have
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Good general IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office, including Excel with VLookups and other basic functions
  • Great problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
