A reputable engineering consultancy in Liverpool is seeking a detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will lead structural analysis and design across various materials and sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree and may be approaching Chartered status with IStructE or ICE. This position offers a competitive salary between £35,000 and £45,000 based on experience, along with additional benefits such as an annual bonus scheme, flexible working, and a generous pension contribution.

Qualifications

  • Must be nearing or already holding Chartered status with IStructE or ICE.

Structural Engineer - Liverpool

Our client, a well-established structural and civil engineering consultancy, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Structural Engineer to join their growing team.

You'll play a critical role in delivering high‑quality designs across varied sectors including residential, commercial, education, and more.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead structural analysis and prepare design deliverables, calculations, drawings, and reports with minimal oversight.
  • Design across materials such as concrete, steel, masonry, timber, and work on soils, foundations, and drainage solutions.
  • Apply Eurocodes, British Standards, CDM Regulations, and relevant design codes accurately.
  • Support senior engineers through all project stages and present at design team meetings.
  • Create annotated hand sketches to illustrate design concepts.
  • Conduct site investigations and inspections, identifying and resolving structural challenges.
  • Manage CAD Technicians to uphold design integrity and quality.

What You'll Need

  • A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (BEng, MEng, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit.
  • Nearing or already holding Chartered status with IStructE or ICE.
  • Strong time-management skills and a sense of ownership in project delivery.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
