About the Company

Our client is a well‑established joinery manufacturer, supplying high‑quality products to a wide range of clients. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and organised Stores Person to join our team.

Role Overview

The Stores Person will be responsible for managing stock, organising materials, and supporting the smooth running of the workshop. This role requires someone who is proactive, accurate, and able to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, check, and store deliveries of materials and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate stock records using IT systems.
  • Prepare and issue materials for production as required.
  • Operate Forklift Truck (FLT) safely to move and store goods.
  • Organise and maintain the stores area to ensure it is safe and efficient.
  • Carry out regular stock checks and support inventory control.
  • Deliver goods to and from suppliers/customers when required.
  • Support production and workshop teams with material requirements.
  • Ensure health & safety procedures are always followed.
Essential Requirements
  • Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence (Counterbalance)
  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong IT literacy (able to use stock control systems, Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or materials handling role.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
