Job description
Key Accountabilities
  • Experience in receiving, handling, storing, disbursing, inventorying, and cycle counting gas transmission and distribution material, tools, and equipment.
  • Preparing forms, records, and reports associated with this work.
  • Loading and unloading material, checking material received, preparing material orders, processing returns, advising on items on which stock is getting low.
  • Utilizing standard technology provided by department to assist with the electronic processing and physical handling of materials and material orders, and participating in coordination and inventory reconciliations.
  • Being thoroughly familiar with material, tools, and equipment and with their location and use.
  • Keeping storeroom in neat and orderly condition.
  • Instructing other employees in the above duties.
  • Must be able to pass a physical test
  • Lift materials up to 60lbs, without assistance.
  • Forklift certified, operate as required
  • Operate a truck mounted forklift as required
  • Qualifying for and having Class A CDL license (no restrictions) as required.
  • Being familiar with motor vehicle traffic laws, state and local.
  • Operating a tractor trailer/straight truck and making minor adjustments or repairs when necessary. Shall be responsible for economical and safe loading of the vehicle and shall assist in loading and unloading.
  • Being responsible for delivery of materials to designated locations.
  • Performing similar or less skilled work as may be assigned
  • Greenpoint warehouse logistic support for Long Island deliveries
  • Long Island logistic support to Greenpoint warehouse for product pickup
  • Provide pipe yard support as required
Qualifications

  • KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING:
  • Minimum of three years experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid NYS Driver's license
  • Pass Field Assessment Test
  • NOTE: Candidates must have a valid New York Driver's License and will be required to obtain and maintain Class A CDL license as required by law. Candidates must be able to obtain the respective CDL license within 6 months of their hire/group date as a condition of employment.
  • In addition to possessing the qualifications for this vacancy, employees selected will be expected to work overtime in accordance with departmental requirements and to participate in the Company's Emergency Restoration Program as may be required.
