Are you an experienced project manager with a passion for delivering technology solutions that make a real impact? The Heart of England Co-operative Society is seeking a Solution Delivery Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology projects that support our business transformation.

As part of our Technology department, you’ll work closely with teams across retail operations, IT, marketing, and finance to deliver projects that drive efficiency and innovation. Reporting to the Head of IT, this is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in a role that combines technical expertise, leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Developing and managing project plans, including scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Acting as the key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Driving the requirements gathering process and translating objectives into actionable plans.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinating testing, UAT, and validation of solutions to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Producing clear and accurate project documentation and reporting regularly to stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Head of IT in delivering the overall IT strategy.
What we’re looking for

  • Proven track record of managing the full project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery.
  • Experience in business change projects and stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical detail to non-technical audiences.
  • Hands-on, driven, and proactive leader with a collaborative approach.
  • Desirable skills & experience
  • Experience in retail environments.
  • Formal project management certification (PMP, PMI, or CSM).
  • Team leadership experience in technology or change-focused environments.
