We have exciting new opportunities for talented and motivated Software Engineers to join our growing team to develop and support new and existing solutions. As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our applications. You will work closely with senior developers to learn and apply best practices, while also having the opportunity to take ownership of projects and grow your skills.

Development is a growing team within easyJet Holidays with the important mission of developing the website and all our proprietary software. Our own development capability is a key differentiator for us and supports the company reaching its goals. It is a very tight‑knit team that moves fast and must deal with a lot of pressure.

This is a permanent role, based in Luton. (Hybrid Working)

What you’ll be doing
  • Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and test web applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify and resolve software defects.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies and industry trends.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in learning more areas of development I.e. backend
    and server technologies.
  • Delivering world class development that guides the company’s future.
What you’ll bring to the team
  • Strong foundation in web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Node.JS.
  • Experience with at least one popular JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue).
  • Understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
  • Understanding of quality engineering principles including Unit testing, Component testing, automated UX testing.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Knowledge of backend development languages (e.g., Python, Ruby) and a willingness to learn more.
  • Familiarity with database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Mongo, Dynamo DB).Understanding of API development.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for learning and growing as a developer.
