Overview

Locum Senior Social Worker – Permanence Team, Bradford, £35 per hour, 3-month contract. Join the Bradford Children and Families Trust as a Locum Senior Social Worker in our dynamic, non-case holding Permanence Team. We are on a mission to fast-track permanence planning for children in care, and we need your expertise. This is a 3-month contract, full-time at 37 hours per week, with hybrid working.

This role focuses on high-quality assessments and court applications to ensure lasting outcomes for children without the usual case management burdens.

Responsibilities

• Conduct targeted work, including parenting assessments, Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessments and support plans, family time assessments, and preparation of court documentation.
• Partner intensively with up to five families at a time, ensuring all necessary work is completed within a structured 6-week timeframe.
• Collaborate closely with legal services, business support teams, and the broader Children in Care service to facilitate seamless progression to court.
• Play a crucial role in reducing delays and enhancing outcomes for children by supporting the discharge of Care Orders through Special Guardianship Orders and reunification efforts.
