SME New Business Broker – Yorkshire / Hybrid Role

Fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected independent insurance broker in the West Yorkshire area. They have been growing consistently over the last few years, which has opened up a wide range of exciting new roles within their commercial insurance division.

This is a great team, a very professional and enjoyable working environment with plenty of flexibility and part office / part home working available.

In this team, you will be dealing mainly with SME commercial clients, with annual premium spends of up to £10k, however, there will be the opportunity to work on a larger case now and again, perhaps paying annual premiums of up to circa £25k.

This is a new business role; all enquiries will be incoming (no outbound or cold calling) and connected to various schemes of specific distribution channels. On a day to day basis, you will be responding to a wide variety of new business enquiries, taking the initial details, going to market to find the best deals. Previous use of Acturis system would be beneficial.

Ideal applicants will have at least 12 months commercial insurance experience, preferable broking, however, we are more than happy to look at underwriters.

Although this is a new business role, we are not looking for aggressive sales, our client prefers to take a more consultative approach, with a primary focus on providing a highly professional service with long-term client relationships at the centre of their ethos.

This role comes with a really competitive basic salary, full and comprehensive benefits includes great holiday allowance + birthday, pension etc. You will have the opportunity to enhance your personal income significantly; there is a very generous and realistically attainable commission structure paid on a monthly basis.
