Qualifications

• Possess an up to date CPC and DIGI card.
• Maintain a clean driving record, with no endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive HGV Class 1 and Shunt Vehicles.
• Cover shunting requirements on customer sites.
• Ensure goods are correctly strapped before journeys.
• Collect backload where required.

We are looking for shunters. The salary £30,700 per year, and you will be working 4 on 4 off. 12‑hour shifts, with Christmas and Bank Holidays off! What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Safely drive our HGV Class 1 and Shunt Vehicles in a courteous manner
  • Covering Shunting requirements on our customers site
  • Making sure all goods are correctly strapped before commencing journeys
  • Driving the latest equipment and operating to safety standards
  • Collecting backload where required
• Safely operate our vehicle delivering British Gypsum products
• Driving the latest Scania tractor units where safety is utmost in our minds (FORS Gold Standard)

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Valid LGV C+E Licence
• An up to date CPC and DIGI card
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No DD, DR or IN endorsements showing on your licence
