Shift Mechanical Engineer – Industrial

Salary: £51,000

Location: North London

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Shift Mechanical Engineer to work for a market‑leading industrial business in North London. The business has been investing heavily into the factory and is in the process of installing new machinery and growing the size of the site. The Shift Mechanical Engineer will need to cover production maintenance and breakdowns. The role can be up to 100% mechanical and must feel confident working on your own and as part of a team. If successful, you will receive internal and external training, progression and a competitive salary. The organisation has multiple sites across the UK and is a market leader in its sector.

Key Skills

• Experience working in a factory or industrial environment – including Forces, RAF, Navy, recycling, FMCG, concrete etc.
• Must hold an engineering qualification.
• Must have strong mechanical skills and be confident to work on belts, bearings, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics, strip down, rebuilds, welding, fabricating, change sprockets etc.
• Must be happy to work shift (days and nights rotating).
• Must be happy to work at heights, in confined spaces and on industrial equipment.
• Happy to work as part of a team and independently.
