Excellent opportunity to join a global plastic packaging company, in an interesting and varied role, within a close-knit maintenance team with career development and external training incentives on offer. This is a fast-paced engineering role in a highly-stable business with plenty of overtime to boost earnings.

This company is a global leader in plastic packaging, a multi-national business currently in a phase of rapid expansion. They recruit to care for their employees, evidenced by low staff turnover, structured training and a close-knit, modern work culture. They are seeking additional Engineers to join the team and develop your career in the long term. You’ll be based in their busy manufacturing facility, attending to predominantly electrical maintenance with some mechanical maintenance on plastic packaging machinery, including both preventative and reactive maintenance. When working nights, engineers will only attend to minor works.

This is a 4-on/4-off shift pattern, working 2 weeks of 4 days, followed by a week of 4 nights, and then back to a week of 4 days, so on and so forth. It is a 12-hour working shift.

THE ROLE

  • Electrical and some mechanical maintenance on a busy manufacturing site
  • PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Bespoke/tailored training available
  • 12-hour shift 4 days/4 nights. Alternating between 2 weeks of 4-days, followed by a week of 4-nights

THE PERSON

  • Multi-Skilled Engineer - with an Electrical bias
  • Manufacturing/FMCG background preferred
  • Maintenance Engineering
  • PLC fault-finding experience
  • Happy to work a mixture of Days and Nights
