Sessional Lecturer - BSc (Hons) Applied Zoology & Animal Conservation

Inspire the Next Generation of Conservationists. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Higher Education Animal Studies teaching team at Plumpton College. We’re seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic sessional lecturer to help shape and deliver our brand-new BSc (Hons) Applied Zoology and Animal Conservation programme.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor final-year students as they prepare for careers across conservation, animal management, and related fields.
  • Bring theory to life by drawing on your industry or research experience to enrich the student journey.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a new degree programme validated by the University of Greenwich.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver engaging and impactful learning experiences.
  • Current need for Thursday afternoons, with openness to discussion if that timing presents a barrier.
What we’re looking for / Qualifications
  • Expertise in Conservation education and communication
  • Expertise in Human-wildlife conflict resolution
  • Expertise in Zoo science & conservation
  • Previous higher education teaching experience is desirable but not essential
