Job description
Security Service Engineer - West London

FAFS Fire & Security specialise in designing, installing, commissioning and servicing automatic Fire Detection, Protection and Alarm Systems in and around Greater London.

FAFS Fire and Security require a skilled and motivated manager for the service team. The service department is responsible for delivering combined sprinkler, dry riser and fire hydrant recurring annual revenues of 1.5 million for planned preventative maintenance. Associated project works will require managing and we may look at the introduction of fire extinguishers department which generates approximately 600k per annum under the same role.

FAFS Service Manager
  • Provide leadership and management to the combined operations including permanently employed staff and sub-contractors.
  • Work with schedulers to ensure efficient delivery of all PPM and small works where security systems are concerned.
  • Manage staff expenses, annual leave requests, time sheets and overtime for the security engineering team.
  • Ensure KPI’s are met, these include service dates, management of sales enquiries and submittal of defect reports.
  • Provide senior management progress reports and monthly business reports.
  • Deliver Success and Growth Through Quality Customer Service: To provide the client base high levels of service, good advice on best practice.
  • To develop existing relationships and create new ones through timely and well-presented communications maintaining positive client relationships and handling any queries or concerns promptly.
  • Take on responsibility for recruitment as necessary and manage the training and development of existing staff.
  • Stay alert to industry change, product development and opportunities and work with the head of service to strategize and plan for growth and technological improvements.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, including but not limited to, the safe handling of electrical components, working at height, and maintaining site safety.
  • Work closely with other department heads and other team members to ensure efficient delivery of services.
