We have an exciting opportunity for someone to undertake the role of Service Delivery Support Administration and Protection Manager and enhance our team based at our Training Academy at Exeter Airport. This role is available on a 12-month fixed term contract working 37 hours per week, and you will receive a Grade 6 salary starting at £38,220 rising to £40,777.
As our Service Delivery Support Administration and Protection Manager, you will manage the complete range of Service Delivery Officer and administrative support duties, across the service delivery directorate covering response, training and protection, ensuring continued improvement, and support the overall departments goals and objectives. You will develop administrative staff to their full potential, delegating work as far as practicable, to ensure efficient processes and performance management.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage Service Delivery Support Officers identified within structure, including the management, monitoring, control, and prioritisation of the workflow to ensure quality and quantitative targets, and statutory deadlines are met.
- Manage permanent and temporary staff personnel matters and associated paperwork, including the recruitment, appraisal, probation reports, remuneration issues, welfare, sickness absence and disciplinary matters.
- Take responsibility for Health and safety matters, including audit procedures.
- Arrange and manage staff meetings.
- Provide mentoring support and guidance through the PPD process and ensure all staff receive appropriate training and development to enable them to carry out their role effectively and efficiently.
- Participate in the PPD process to identify personal training needs and attend training events as directed.
- Act as an assessor if/where required e.g. to support 'Leadership Potential Skill Build Sessions'.
- Provide consistent line management for staff managed within the directorate.
- Develop systems to allow resilience across admin staff enabling prompt and consistent responses to requests across service delivery support (response, training and protection).
- Manage stores requisitioning and administration.
- In association with other managers, play an active role in developing and managing business plans to ensure objectives and targets are met, with specific responsibility for service delivery support matters.
- Work with service delivery support management in order to ensure probity and standards are maintained in all activities in line with financial regulations, Service policy and with specific responsibility for administrative matters.
