Senior VAT Analyst - 6-Month Contract
Location: Liverpool Street, London (5 days on-site)
Contract: 6 months Full-time (40h/week)
Day rate (PAYE): .36 per day
Start: ASAP

The Role

As a Senior VAT Analyst, you'll be part of the International Indirect Tax Compliance team, focusing on VAT compliance across France, Italy, Spain, and Sweden. You'll take ownership of VAT filings and related compliance tasks, support audits, and collaborate with colleagues across finance, controllership, and technology. This is a hands-on role where your analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and ability to thrive under pressure will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and submit VAT, Intrastat, and ECSL returns.
  • Manage VAT registrations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits, including data analysis.
  • Review month-end VAT reconciliations, resolving aged items proactively.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects with a focus on process improvement, automation, and efficiency.
  • Support business growth and onboarding of new entities into VAT compliance processes.

  • Positive, solution-driven, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Accounting/tax qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, or similar).
  • Additional languages (Italian or French) are an advantage.
