Senior Town Planner – London – £50-55k + Package

Salary: £50-55k

A senior residential town planner is urgently required for a London-based build-out developer managing a full life cycle of developments. In addition to building apartments and houses, the team develops large mixed-use residential schemes creating communities.

The role requires an experienced planner/senior planner who will support the land and planning team. The successful applicant will be a key member of the team and be involved on sites from acquisition and assisting with background research as part of due diligence. You will also be tasked on major schemes that require solutions to obtain planning permission. You will need planning expertise, a sound knowledge of the planning system, strong communication and attention to detail skills as these will be essential for the role.

Responsibilities
  • Communication – maintain effective working relationships with local authorities, GLA, consultants and agents. Liaise and negotiate with planning officers, architects, consultants and third parties.
  • Planning appraisal – undertake research and analysis in preparing due diligence for potential acquisition sites; prepare briefs to architects from feasibility through to planning instruction.
  • Development management – prepare planning applications, including planning statements; manage planning budgets and programs; coordinate the consultant team from acquisition through to determination of the planning application.
  • Meetings – attend land and planning meetings and keep management informed.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 2-5 years’ experience in planning or related field.
  • MRTPI qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
