Are you ready to take your technical skills to the next level in a supportive and inclusive academic environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic technical team within the School of Education, Sport & Health Sciences, supporting innovative teaching and research in our state of the art sport & exercise science laboratories at the Falmer campus.

As a Senior Technician, you’ll play a key role in delivering an outstanding practical learning experience. You’ll be responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and safe operation of specialist equipment and resources, while providing expert technical support to both students and academic staff within our Sport & Exercise science laboratories.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Setting up and maintaining equipment and materials for teaching and research activities
  • Ensuring laboratories and equipment are kept to a high standard of safety and functionality
  • Providing hands-on technical support and guidance to staff and students
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in a science or sport-related discipline, with practical technical skills
  • A good understanding of health and safety in a laboratory or technical setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

This is a full-time (37.0 hours per week), permanent role based at our newly developed facilities on the Falmer campus. We welcome applications from candidates interested in job sharing.
