Senior Structural Engineer

They are now seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing Derby team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design work, inspections and construction site support on major infrastructure projects.
• Cover analysis and design using software such as Tekla, IDEA and TEDDS, as well as hand calculations and carry out concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects.
• Prepare calculations, CDM activities, material specifications, technical reports, design coordination, scopes of work and more.
• Assist and mentor team members to promote their technical and professional development.

Project Work

• Design of new buildings, foundations, retaining walls, and basements.
• Refurbishment and extension of existing structures.
• Integration of secondary elements such as staircases and balconies.
• Deliver demolition strategies, forensic engineering, BIM collaboration.
• Design specialist industrial structures for extreme load and seismic conditions, alongside party wall advice.
