Overview

Senior Social Worker - Adult Social Care, Community Intervention & Prevention Hub (CIH) within the new ASC ‘Front Door’. Salary: £44,951 - £51,064 per annum plus £2,000 Golden Hello and a £2,000 Annual Retention Allowance. Location: Churchill Court (and hybrid working). Contract Type: Permanent. Hours: Full Time (36 hours).

We are looking for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our friendly and hard-working team as part of the new ASC front door model. The role involves working in conjunction with the Initial Contact Team and Safeguarding Team, based in the Community Intervention & Prevention Hub. The front door offers focused short-term intervention to mitigate immediate risk and ensure that residents wait well when further complex care management has been identified. You will work alongside OTs in this new MDT approach, responding daily to referrals via the hub which deal with a broad range of Adult Social Care queries and referrals. There is focus on supporting the Integrated Care Network (ICN) by working collaboratively with health partners to offer short-term intervention in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise staff, with experience in performance management and supporting staff through complex and challenging casework.
  • Maintain healthy relationships with partner agencies, particularly health, the voluntary sector, and commissioned services.
  • Be conversant with different IT systems and record information contemporaneously on social care systems.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, analytical and written skills; act as a problem solver, prioritise work, meet performance targets, and manage systems.
  • Work within the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act requirements, with regular supervision, training, and career development, aligned to the Council’s appraisal model.
  • Collaborate as part of a supportive management team and contribute to the transformation and improvement plan for Bromley.
  • Engage in a two-week induction program on joining and operate within a small cluster team (five Social Workers/Seniors and one Team Manager) with dedicated time for quality reflective supervision.
  • Support delivery of safe social care services in Bromley, promoting independence and safeguarding residents.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
  • Registration with Social Work England and an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Experience in supervising and managing staff, with ability to maintain effective relationships with partner agencies.
