As a member of the Interventional Radiography Team, you'll play a key role in enhancing patient care, driving service improvements, and supporting your colleagues across a busy and varied caseload.

We welcome applications from Radiographers who are keen to grow into the role although previous experience within an Interventional Radiology setting would be advantageous.

Main duties of the job

As a Interventional Radiographer, you'll help deliver a safe, efficient, and patient-focused imaging service. Key duties include:

  • Service Delivery & Collaboration
    • Work closely with IR Lead and Principal Operations Radiographers to maintain a high-quality service with a strong focus on patient care.
    • Participate in a wide range of specialised examinations to a high standard using relevant practical expertise.
    • Undertake a senior role when working within IR and the general dept. This includes both clinical and non- clinical work associated with service delivery.
    • Ability to participate in out of hours working and 24hr cross site emergency cover for intervention.
  • Quality & Standards
    • Set and maintain professional standards in the Radiology Department and contribute to audits and service improvements with colleagues.
  • Staff Support & Development
    • Supervise and support staff, students, and visitors. Provide teaching and assessment in line with BCUHB policies and HCPC standards.
  • Cross-Departmental Relationships
    • Build strong working relationships across departments and help resolve local operational issues.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
