We're looking for an experienced Senior Paid Media Manager to join our Paid Media team on a fixed‑term contract to cover maternity leave. This role will be responsible for leading and optimising our paid media activity across Search, YouTube and Demand Gen campaigns, driving customer acquisition, revenue, brand visibility and engagement whilst focusing on digital excellence in retail.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day management, optimisation, and reporting across Google Ads, SA360 and other relevant platforms.
- Use data‑driven insights to quickly iterate and methodically improve results day on day, week on week and month on month.
- Account management and optimisation: campaign structure, keyword research, keyword bidding, ad copy writing and testing, search content integration, related search strategies, landing page testing, and any other core capability required to maximise results, drive volume and hit targets.
- Work closely with other paid channels, building and executing campaigns across search, video and Demand Gen to drive awareness, consideration and conversion.
- Oversee the full digital campaign lifecycle – from strategy and planning through implementation and optimisation to reporting and learnings, ensuring campaigns are executed to the highest standard and delivered against business objectives.
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring efficient spend across all channels and forecasting of daily, monthly and yearly budgets.
- Deliver regular insights on campaign performance and KPIs to inform trading and marketing decisions.
- Test new campaign formats, audience strategies and creative approaches to stay ahead of industry changes.
- Partner with Trade, Merchandising, Buying and Brand teams to align campaigns with promotional calendars and brand priorities.
- Mentor paid media executives and manage platform partner relationships.
KPIs
- Global paid media performance, measured against COS%, NC and GP.
- Delivery of strategy across all relevant platforms and surfaces.
- Reporting on performance, transparent communication back to the trading, buying and management teams.
- Driving better revenue volumes within COS% targets, acquiring more new customers within CAC targets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in PPC management, ideally within e‑commerce or retail.
- Strong knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Shopping and YouTube campaigns, and automated bidding strategies.
- Experience with Performance Max and SA360 highly desirable.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into strategy.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, trading‑led environment with multiple priorities.
