A public service organization in Eastleigh is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join their People and Development function. This hybrid role requires experience in policy and reward projects. Candidates must hold a CIPD Level 7 qualification and have strong communication and analytical skills. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary is seeking an HR professional to join our People and Development function as a Senior HR Advisor within the Policy and Reward team, on a permanent contract, for 15 hours per week.
Reporting to the People Services Manager (Policy and Reward team), you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment contributing to people services reward related projects and implementing HR policies, procedures and guidance that support the Constabulary’s strategies and priorities.
By developing a thorough understanding of the organisation and with an ability to effectively contribute to policy and reward related projects, you will lead on a variety of projects, engaging with key stakeholders; ensuring outcomes are delivered in a timely manner and in line with organisational priorities, policy and legislative requirements.
Effective communication skills, previous experience in a policy and reward related role and of leading on policy and reward related projects, knowledge of IT systems including SAP, and reporting and analytical skills are also desirable.
You will need to be educated to QCF Level 6 or have work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level.
You will also need to possess a Level 7 CIPD qualification or have equivalent experience to MCIPD level.
All role holders will need to undergo and maintain appropriate vetting in order to carry out the full duties of the role.
Whilst the role is contractually based at HIOWC’s Strategic Headquarters in Eastleigh, hybrid working will be available to those joining the team.
Applicants must also be aware that there will be a requirement to travel to policing sites within Hampshire and Isle of Wight as required.
Generalist HR experience in a policy & reward role.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with managers and the workforce with staff at all levels and an ability to constructively challenge and resolve problems accordingly.
Understanding and working knowledge of relevant UK employment legislation.
Educated to QCF Level 6 OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level.
CIPD graduate (Level 7 Advanced Certificate in Human Resources) or equivalent HR experience deemed to have brought the role holder to a comparable level.
