Senior / Executive Consultant - Client-Side Advisor

Location: Nottingham or Birmingham, England. Hybrid working: 2-3 days per week from home; on site at Midlands offices or client sites as required. Salary £100,000 - £125,000 per year.   • Policy reviews
  • Estate and delivery strategy formulation
  • Options appraisals
  • Viability assessments / VFM reviews
  • Business case review and drafting (Green Book and local arrangements)
  • Support to Grant Funders
  • Programme Management Office
Role purpose

We are seeking a Senior / Executive Consultant to support the wider team and development of our services based in Nottingham or Birmingham. There is an immediate consultancy requirement with a major grant funder to provide advice to organisations receiving capital grant funding for façade remediation projects. You will provide targeted client-side guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the project team to deliver a top-class Advisory service meeting client requirements
  • Manage and deliver a specific workstream or task within a multidisciplinary team
  • Engage with key client stakeholders and external parties; build and maintain relationships
  • Produce innovative solutions and client-facing presentations
  • Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement
  • Support Business Unit Directors in achieving objectives
  • Develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Manage self and others to deliver high-quality, profitable service
Responsibilities for the consultancy role with major grant funder
  • Coordinate with grant funder operations and commercial teams
  • Provide tailored advice to grant recipients for construction delivery
  • Advise on project team setup, procurement, risk, and controls
  • Conduct capability, capacity and risk assurance reviews
  • Offer guidance on project management tools and KPIs
  • Support timely project progression and value for money
  • Perform diagnostic reviews to identify risks and blockers
  • Undertake project audits and risk mitigation
  • Monitor progress and report to grant funders
  • Execute services in line with KPIs
