Senior Staff Engineer – EHS & Facilities Belfast, Northern Ireland | On-site | Full-time

We’re recruiting on behalf of a global medical technology leader for a Senior Staff Engineer, EHS & Facilities. This is a senior-level role based at their Belfast facility, where you’ll drive Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy and oversee key facilities operations.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and maintain EHS management systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).
  • Oversee compliance with regulatory and licence requirements.
  • Deliver EHS training and lead audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Manage environmental monitoring, waste, and risk assessments.
  • Lead the site’s Emergency Response Programme.
  • Partner with site leadership to drive safety culture and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee facilities contractors, maintenance schedules, and compliance.
  • Manage budgets and deliver efficiencies across EHS and facilities services.

What we’re looking for

  • Degree (or equivalent) in EHS, Engineering, or Science.
  • 6+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong track record implementing and maintaining EHS systems.
  • Confident engaging with regulators and influencing stakeholders.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (advantage).
  • IT skills: Microsoft Office, SAP (or similar ERP).
