My client, who is a market leading designer, and manufacturer of specialist Scientific Instrumentation, now seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Bristol.
As a Senior Electrical Designer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and components for my client's industry-leading products.
Within the role, you will design, develop, and implement electrical systems and components, adhering to EN (phone number removed), EN13849, UL, and CSA standards and have experience in CE marking.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with mechanical, software, and firmware components, and produce detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using industry-standard CAD software.
As the Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will also manage the planning of engineering tasks and allocation of resources with the management team and other Lead Engineers, as well as ensuring the delivery of engineering work to deadlines.
It is expected that you will provide guidance and mentorship to engineering team members, helping to ensure their professional growth, development, and onboarding of new staff.
In addition to supporting other departments by answering queries and requests for information relating to your function, you will also work closely with and support the other team members to ensure that a consistent engineering service is provided by the team.
You will also lead and drive forward the continuous improvement of my client's engineering function and help other departments where possible.
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate an ongoing commitment to improving your communication and leadership capabilities, while also honing your skills and expertise to enhance your technical development.

It is expected that you will have a minimum of a degree or higher in a relevant engineering subject, along with experience of Electrical and Mechanical design software.
