About the Role
As our Senior Data Analyst, you will oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of data across the business. This is a highly autonomous role where your insights and recommendations will directly shape business strategy. You will maintain data quality standards, develop reporting frameworks, and ensure the company leverages its data to drive operational improvements and deliver customer value.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, offering analytical guidance as the company evolves, while ensuring data integrity and innovation remain central to our operations.
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
Flexi-working options available after successful probation
Additional hours as required (TOIL or overtime may apply)
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting
Build and maintain dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights
Highlight trends, risks, and opportunities through regular performance analysis
Translate complex datasets into clear narratives for senior stakeholders
Conduct ad-hoc deep-dive analyses to support decision-making
Data Quality & Governance
Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of business-critical data
Develop and maintain data validation processes
Promote best practices and data governance policies across the business
Proactively monitor and address data quality issues
Business Insights & Forecasting
Provide data-driven insights for strategic planning and operational improvements
Support forecasting and predictive modelling initiatives
Assist in developing business cases through robust analysis
Evaluate the impact of initiatives and projects
Process Improvement & Innovation
Recommend and implement improvements to reporting and analytical workflows
Introduce new tools and methodologies to enhance analytical capability
Drive automation of recurring reports
Stay updated with trends in data analytics
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with leadership to align data initiatives with business priorities
Partner with cross-functional teams to support data needs and increase data literacy
Present findings clearly and persuasively
Act as a trusted advisor for evidence-based decision-making

Person Specification
Essential Requirements:
Strong knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and visualisation tools
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
5+ years of experience in a data analysis role, including reporting
Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Proven ability to deliver insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field (equivalent experience accepted)
Desirable:
Experience in healthcare, justice, or public sector data environments
Exposure to SME or fast-paced environments
Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Google BigQuery)
Predictive modelling or machine learning experience
Postgraduate qualification or professional certification
Mentoring skills and ability to influence adoption of data-led decision making
