Qualifications

• Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
• Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months.
• Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric support to the Wirral CYPMHS 0-18 and Learning Disabilities team.
• Manage, appraise and give professional supervision to junior medical staff.
• Participate in the 0-18 Consultant Psychiatrist on-call rota.

Excellent knowledge in specialty

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Ability to manage clinical complexity

Decision making based on evidence and experience

Education

MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
