Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor | London

Up to £75,000 per annum plus benefits

We’re partnering with a highly respected cost and project management consultancy that is known for its expertise, commitment to excellence, and innovative approach. This firm delivers high-profile projects across a range of sectors, having most recently won a lot of work in the Retail and Education sectors.

This role is suited to an excellent QS/SQS with experience in cost management and a strong commercial mindset. You should be confident managing projects independently while also collaborating with stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency and value. Previous experience in consultancy or client-side roles is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of quantity surveying and cost management for assigned projects
  • Provide accurate cost advice and financial reporting to clients
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimations
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with contractors and suppliers
  • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with budgets
  • Conduct risk analysis and value engineering assessments
  • Mentor and support junior team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Proficiency in cost estimating and financial management software
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
