Overview
Senior Construction Security and Reporting Technician. This role supports US Army Europe/Africa G2 and other Intelligence related mission partners as part of a complex program that provides professional services in support of advisory and analysis efforts related to Intelligence Warfighting Function (IWfF) mission areas. The team supports the Intelligence Directorate of the Army Service Component Command of both the US European Command and US Africa Command, researching, analyzing, and producing near- and long-term all-source assessments on terrorism/counterterrorism and multi-discipline counter-intelligence issues to enable U.S. and foreign partner counterintelligence operations.
More About the Role: You will embed at the Joint Analysis Center at RAF Molesworth, UK, and may travel within the USEUCOM or USAFRICOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) or Area of Interest (AOI) to meet mission requirements in both CONUS and OCONUS locations. This position is contingent upon SOFA approval or commensurate work-Visa requirements at the primary place of duty. You must be willing to work shifts, overtime, in inclement weather, and/or deploy to austere or hostile fire zones as required.
Responsibilities
- Shall become knowledgeable of the US Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) security procedures and the level of security required in various parts of each facility under construction.
- Monitor the activities of all foreign national construction workers and personnel at all times.
- Document the construction activities of all persons on construction facility.
- Document all security incidents that occur in/around construction facility.
- Perform in-depth inspections of construction materials, tools, and equipment prior to and after their use/installation ensuring items are free of tampering and identifying anomalies.
- Material inspections include use of specialized equipment including X-Ray, NLJD, etc.
- Routinely review with the Site Security Managers (SSMs), project manager and GC on security requirements for the project.
- Maintain CST documentation records for the duration of the project.
- Maintain daily logs, submitted to the SSM.
- Identify anomalies and variances in finished construction work against the official project plans (quality anomalies/variances to be submitted separately).
- Perform access control functions including personnel and bag searches to prevent entry of unauthorized persons, materials, and equipment.
- Carry out opening and closing procedures each day as directed by the SSMs.
- Report all suspicious materials or incidents to the SSM within two hours of discovery.
- Screen all equipment, materials, and furnishings destined for use in the controlled construction area using Contractor Furnished Equipment and other approved methods.
- Monitor and observe construction workers to preclude the introduction of hostile surveillance devices and practice OPSEC for the project and into finished construction.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
- BA/BS + 10 years of experience, or 15 years of directly related military experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance in good standing
- Minimum of at least 3 years experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Construction security surveillance
- Technical Surveillance Countermeasures
- Industrial or Government security involving counterintelligence, construction quality assurance, or hands-on supervisory construction experience
Nice to Have
- 5 years in construction security surveillance, technical surveillance countermeasures, industrial or government security
- Previous CST experience at overseas or domestic project sites (2–3 or more projects)
- Counterintelligence or Intelligence Analysis
- US Naval Construction Battalion (CB) training
- US Army Corps of Engineers construction training
- USMC Marine Armed Security Guards
- USAF RED HORSE / PRIME BEEF
