As a Cloud Architect, you will work closely with the Cloud Architecture Team to spearhead the adoption and refinement of Google Cloud capabilities and strategy. You will create innovative, repeatable architecture solutions and frameworks that drive the ongoing transformation of enterprise workloads in a secure, scalable and cost-effective environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the evolution of Google Cloud capabilities within the organization
• Advocate for cloud best practices, strategies, patterns and innovative technologies
• Build repeatable architecture patterns, blueprints and solutions to enable enterprise workloads across Google Cloud
• Develop decision trees to simplify technology product selection
• Oversee architecture governance, application reviews and compliance tollgates for Google Cloud deployments
• Craft high-quality, concise documentation to support frameworks, strategies and execution plans
• Provide thought leadership, mentorship and guidance to stakeholders and teams
• Drive continuous improvements within the Cloud Architecture function
• Collaborate closely with senior decision makers, strategists, product owners and engineering teams to align goals and deliver value

REQUIREMENTS

• Comprehensive understanding of Google Cloud Platform services, products, and their enterprise applications, backed by 3+ years of experience
• Advanced knowledge of resource management on Google Cloud and expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Proficiency in networking and security services within the Google Cloud environment
• Hands-on experience with compute services such as Google Compute Engine (GCE), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run
• Strong understanding of database technologies including solutions like Cloud SQL and BigQuery
• Experience with data ingestion, transformation and orchestration tools such as Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataflow and Cloud Composer
• Expertise in monitoring, logging and alerting using Google Cloud Operations Suite tools
• Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing and managing Google Cloud Landing Zones
• Deep knowledge of cloud architecture best practices ensuring reliability, scalability, security and operational efficiency
• Familiarity with building repeatable patterns and blueprints for managing workloads on Google Cloud
• Strong ability to advocate for and apply cloud best practices, strategies and governance principles
• Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers and stakeholders of varying seniority
