ESNEFT is one of the largest radiotherapy providers in the East of England, delivering treatments to over 3000 patients per year across Ipswich and Colchester sites. Ipswich Hospital is looking for a Senior Clinical Scientist in Radiotherapy.
You will hold registration as an MPE in radiotherapy and participate in a broad range of radiotherapy physics activities including quality assurance of radiotherapy treatment equipment, treatment planning, and providing assistance with computing throughout the department. You will work closely with colleagues within our multi-disciplinary team of physicists, engineers, radiographers and clinicians.
Ipswich Hospital is equipped with 3 TrueBeam multi-modality linear accelerators delivering VMAT, FFF and SABR techniques, and an Ethos linear accelerator with Hypersight imaging. The department uses a virtual Aria environment with Varian cloud; treatment plans are produced using the Eclipse treatment planning system. We work closely with nuclear medicine to deliver a molecular radiotherapy service.
For this role you will hold the RPA2000 certificate of competence to act as an MPE, as well as HCPC registration as a clinical scientist, along with an honours degree in physics with relevant postgraduate experience.
