And, by joining us, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.

Main duties of the job

Planning and implementing the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You’ll be a real influence on the rest of the care team. You’ll demonstrate kindness in all interactions, including guiding someone how to use a walking frame, helping someone at the end of life to eat a meal, or talking to a resident’s family on the phone.

About us

At HC-One, our purpose is to support those in our care to lead their best lives. As the Kind Care Company, it is our mission to provide the kindest support and care to Residents living in our care homes, as we strive to be the first-choice care provider for Families, our Colleagues and Commissioners in each of the communities that we serve.

Job responsibilities

This is a full-time role working 33 hours from 8am - 8pm and 8pm - 8am. Full flexibility to work both days and nights is required. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will: lead a team of Care Assistants; maintain the highest standards of care; deliver personalised care plans; assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities; and administer medication. You will maintain accurate records and build strong team relationships. Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma NVQ in Adult Social Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3, or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. You should have brimming positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people, good record-keeping, and time-management skills. You will communicate with residents and co-workers with consideration and kindness.

We champion inclusivity, fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and can be themselves. Our diverse and inclusive workforce allows us to learn from each other and better represent the communities we serve.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility in adult social care. You should recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training in associated areas.
