Overview

Senior Care Assistant (COT00ZA) – Cottingley Hall, Bradford Road, Bingley, BD16 1TX. Salary £12.40 - £14.01 per hour depending on experience.

Cottingley Hall care home is located at Bradford Road, Bingley, West Yorkshire BD16 1TX. We make health happen. Here at Bupa we support those when they need it the most. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead a team of Care Assistants that deliver high quality, personal care to residents, while inspiring, developing, and nurturing colleagues to be their best every day. You will be trained on digital care and supported with ongoing clinical and social care development.

You’ll help us make health happen by:

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
  • Supporting with clinical duties, including supporting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans and accurate record keeping
  • Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers of the teams
  • Training and supervision of new staff members to ensure they feel welcomed and supported
  • Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
  • Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
Key Skills / Qualifications
  • You’ll have completed / be working towards an NVQ3 in care. We’re happy to support you in completing your qualification if needed.
  • You are motivated, positive, with great interpersonal skills, and enjoy working in a close-knit team. You will help run a unit and assist the Nurse with clinical duties for the home.
  • You have previous experience of the role and knowledge of its rewards and challenges. You also have a passion for making a real difference to people’s lives, providing kindness, personalised support and dignity.
