Overview

Are you an experienced Senior Technician that is looking for a new challenge? Stantec are seeking to recruit a Senior BIM Technician to join our Digital Design team in the Southwest Region, based from either our Bristol or Exeter offices, and specialising in projects within the water sector. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, multi-disciplinary infrastructure consultancy. As a senior member of our Digital Design team, you will be self-motivated and responsible for supporting Digital Delivery across the UK and Ireland. As the regional lead for BIM / CAD Modelling and digital delivery within our South-West regional team, you will provide technical design support to our Engineering teams and play a key role in the successful delivery of our major projects.

Duties
  • Regional leadership of the digital design team in the Southwest
  • Collaboration with your equivalent regional leads across the UK
  • Working as part of the engineering team with specific responsibility to deliver BIM/CAD deliverables.
  • Responsible for managing regional workload plans; establishing and maintaining delivery deadlines.
  • Developing and mentoring local Digital Design team members.
  • Being the point of contact with clients for development, maintenance and delivery of digital deliverables
  • Working within the Common Data Environments.

About you

You will have prior experience working within a Technician or Senior Technician role or similar digital delivery role - with experience of working within the water engineering sector. In addition, you will have:

  • Full familiarity and experience of project delivery to ISO 19650
  • Extensive experience of working in Common Data Environments using Data Management Systems such as BIM360 AAC, or ProjectWise
  • Highly proficient at 2D and 3D delivery
  • An experienced user of the major 2D and 3D CAD/BIM tools from Autodesk and Bentley
  • Experience of contributing to project planning, providing estimates for project delivery and work breakdown schedules
  • Ability to manage your workload and maintain project delivery across multiple projects
  • Experience of mentoring junior colleagues
